Light Science Pty Ltd is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited by NATA. Our laboratory is an independent purpose-built luminaire testing facility based in Sydney, Australia. We offer a variety of NATA-accredited testing services, performed to Australian and international testing standards. All photometry, goniophotometry, electrical and thermal testing of luminaries is performed in Australia and held in the strictest confidence. We specialize in prompt testing of domestic and commercial luminaires and can provide NATA-endorsed photometric, electrical and thermal test reports. In addition, ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation ensures validity of test results and traceability to Australian national standards. It also provides international acceptance of test results which is important for compliance purposes. At Light Science, we pride ourselves on quick turnaround without compromising the quality of services; all equipment and standards are maintained to meet ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Our rotating-mirror type-C goniophotometer maintains the luminaire in its normal operating orientation during the testing process to eliminate adverse thermal effects. It can test luminaires with a maximum dimension of up to 1.6 meters and 50kg weight. Our draught-proof thermal test room is capable of testing items at ambient temperatures in excess of 40°C.
