Lightside Surgical is advancing the future of trauma care by bringing surgical expertise to the point of injury. Using a combination of telepresence, robotics, AI, and simulation, we are developing portable systems that enable medics to stabilize critically injured patients during field evacuation. Our technology connects frontline providers to remote surgeons in real time, allowing for earlier intervention, guided procedures, and continuous patient monitoring—when every second counts. Initially serving military medical units, Lightside Surgical will expand into EMS systems, hospitals, and ultimately rural and austere environments. Our long-term vision is to create a compact, deployable “OR for One” that empowers urgent care clinics in remote settings to deliver life-saving treatment. By closing the gap between injury and access to care, we aim to prevent avoidable deaths and transform how trauma is treated anywhere in the world.
