Lights On! Lights, Camera, Action (affectionately known as LOLCA)

Lights On! Lights, Camera, Action! striving to use Guide Star's Gold Standard, is a multimedia platform shining a spotlight on the power of real-life Story Telling within the substance misuse community on a national level. We aim to facilitate awareness and education through peer-based, and certified counseling programs, peer-based, and councilor certified recovery meetings, and peer-based and certified mobile educators for schools, hospitals and "other" locations in need upon request. We work closely with and help fund select organizations and individuals developing medical capabilities and/or devices to assist individuals seeking recovery. We help select organizations and/or programs with the necessary funding to further research efforts in areas focused on recovery and education. We invite you to join us in viewing and sharing public awareness posts and journeys about everyday people, YOUR people, while empowering communities across our nation through real-life, heartfelt stories empowering the substance misuse community confronted with misplaced stigmatization. The heart of Lights On! Lights, Camera, Action! in part, is intended as a safe place to be heard. A home for our stories, your stories... Our journey, your journey... A safe place for individuals seeking a voice on the road to recovery. To build community empowerment while working together to overcome unnecessary stigma through updated, medical based research, and education for better understanding this brain disease typically stereotyped “addiction”. Note: Programming is under development at this time. Lights On! Lights, Camera, Action! will update its description of programming when completed. Lights On! Lights, Camera, Action! founding members consist of a diverse group of individuals, with an acute awareness of America's national crisis.
