Lightspeed was originally founded as Econotek Communications in 1997 just after the deregulation of the telecommunications industry. The company cut its teeth in the business sector where minutes mean money, with a top priority of providing our customers with reliable, uninterrupted service around the clock. After more than fifteen years of success thanks to the dedicated service of our employees, we realized we were capable of more.
In addition to providing premium communication services to New York’s businesses and residences, Lightspeed is also dedicated to the communities in which we live and serve. “Telecom with heart” speaks to our promise to give back 3% of our net profit to not-for-profit and charitable organizations. This mission makes increasing our customer-base an even greater priority.
