Lightwell (noun) An architectural feature that allows light to reach the interior spaces of a large building that would otherwise be dark. Lightwells are ubiquitous in Western and Eastern architectural traditions and can either be roofed or unroofed to provide ventilation. The Practice Lightwell is a residential architecture and interior design practice based in Singapore.
