LignoCOST (COST Action CA17128)

"LignoCOST" is the European COST Action CA17128 with the title: "Establishment of a Pan-European Network on the Sustainable Valorisation of Lignin" supported by COST Association (https://www.cost.eu/). Its main objective is to establish a global network that will cover the entire value chain, ranging from lignin sources and availability to sustainable transformation technologies and marketable industrial high added-value products, including fuels, platform chemicals, monomers, polymers and materials. To achieve this goal, academic research and industrial development will join forces, aiming to a future low-carbon economy, cleaner environment and better quality of life. Lignin has the potential to become the future aromatic raw material for the industry within a broader biorefinery and circular bio-economy concept.
