Liina is all about change. Change in what we consume. Change in what it means to act and live sustainable today, and how we collectively make progress towards a sustainable future. Liina is centered around a magical ingredient known as Spirulina. Spirulina, a naturally occurring algae, is the most nutritionally dense food source on the planet. Unbelievably, it requires 200x less land and 215x less water to produce the same volume of protein as beef, and most incredibly, removes 400x more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than a tree. The UN has called Spirulina "the food of the future". Well, Liina exits to make that future our reality. The northern star of Liina is to solve the fundamental imbalance of dwindling resources for humans and the expanding population around the globe. We all need solutions that have high output with minimal input, and the nutritional density and low resource requirements of algae offer a simple yet compelling solution to a complicated problem.
