LIMF

The Physical Metallurgy Research Laboratory “Ing. Gregorio Cusminsky ”(LIMF) is made up of a team of multidisciplinary professionals, technicians and fellows who carry out undergraduate and graduate teaching activities, training, research, extension, development and transfer of knowledge to the productive environment in the“ Materials ”area. We provide efficient solutions to specific problems in the materials field, working intensively and maintaining high quality standards under a policy committed to continuous improvement and permanent training. The LIMF depends on the Department of Materials of the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of La Plata and although the name of "Physical Metallurgy Research Laboratory" is currently not fully indicative of the wide spectrum of activities carried out, it is relevant to maintain this denomination due to its history. The professionals who make up the LIMF, develop their functions in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in various Chairs of the Materials Engineering career: Materials Workshop, Thermodynamics of Materials, Structure and Properties of Alloys, Fundamentals of the Behavior of Materials, Characterization of Materials, Polymeric Materials, Materials Union Technology, Plastic Forming of Metals and Powder Metallurgy, with research papers that have been presented in recognized national and international publications and with active participation in Congresses, Workshops and Conferences. The professionals who are members of LIMF have accumulated a vast knowledge of industrial problems in reference to the field of knowledge of materials and proof of this are the public and private entities that have requested our advice and service.
