Liminka is a municipality of 10 000 inhabitants located 20 minutes south from the city of Oulu on the shore of the Liminka Bay. Liminka is 542 years old and one of the oldest towns in Finland, yet has the youngest population in the whole of Finland. The average age in Liminka is below 30 years and 41 percent of the municipality's population is under 19 years old.
