Believing there was a need for customer focused, fee for service financial advice, founder Chris Burnett resigned from his position as a Senior Manager with the Commonwealth Bank in 2003 to establish the Practice which is today Lincoln Financial.
Chris had worked for over 25 years in the banking and finance industries, having held senior executive management positions with both the National Australia Bank Ltd and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Ltd. In those roles he gained great insight into the financial needs of people both individually and in business, as well as the benefits of well structured and appropriate financial advice.
During this time, Chris also observed at first hand the effect corporate ownership can have on the delivery of financial advice, in particular the product sales culture this engendered. As he wanted to always have the ability to deliver the best of breed investment options for his clients and not be bound by a large financial institution, he joined small group of likeminded Advisers operating under the license of Libertas Financial Planning Pty Ltd
In 2009, Chris recognised the need to link with high quality tax advisers in order to be able to provide a complete financial solution to his clients. He therefore became affiliated with Lincoln Partners Chartered Accountants who provide a full range of taxation and accounting services.
More recently, Chris was joined in the business by his son Matthew. Matthew from an early age had a very strong interest in investment markets so upon obtaining his formal qualifications joined the Practice as an Adviser in 2017.
The business continues to grow strongly by providing honest, intelligent customer centric advice to its may clients. We are grateful for their ongoing confidence and support.
