Linewatch

Linewatch exists to raise awareness of the hazards associated with working in close proximity to high pressure pipelines. We identify the location of oil and gas pipes across the UK and provide the contact details of the relevant network operators. This ensures safe working procedures are followed, preventing injury to those working near the pipelines, and stopping damage to the network and the environment. The overall activities include: • Raising awareness of safe working practices around high pressure pipelines • Producing standard guidelines for work near pipelines • Producing and presenting Linewatch best practices • Sharing of educational documents and literature • Recommending that all excavation work is preceded by a thorough search on LSBUD's collaborative search portal (www.lsbud.co.uk) • Representing member operators at industry exhibitions and trade shows • Reporting on industry activities within the pipeline zone • Sharing information on third party incidents and near misses For more information, please visit www.linewatch.org.uk
