The company was founded by linguistics experts at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and possesses unique knowledge in the field of language technology.
Nordic private equity company Verdane Capital acquired Lingit in 2017. The acquisition will support an ambition to accelerate growth and launch the technology internationally.
Lingit acquired the UK based company, Claro Software Ltd, in March 2018 in alignment with an international growth strategy.
