Liquid Gold Foundation

The Vision -- The Liquid Gold Project is a grass-roots initiative, focused on increasing platelet donations through education and opportunity. We will transform a one-time act of charity (donating platelets) into a way of life. The Mission -- Experts agree that the best way to increase platelet donations is through education. The Liquid Gold Project will educate the community about the importance of blood platelet donations, through churches and universities. Once informed about how platelets save the lives of children with leukemia, cancer, burn and trauma patients, we will provide the people with the opportunity to donate platelets within their community -- so that may not only understand the importance, but know that they are saving lives as well. Goal -- The Liquid Gold Project will strive to eliminate the shortage of blood platelets within the state of Alabama within the next five years. Pending the future success of The Liquid Gold Project, we will also start a national initiative with similar expectations.
