Tunnel boats are the fastest turning, most nimble race boats in the world, that literally fly on the water! Formula Light powerboats are capable of reach speeds near 80 MPH with drivers incurring more G-forces than most race car drivers. As a stock class, Formula Light boats are a minimum of 12 feet long and must weigh a minimum of 700 pounds with the driver at the end of a race. These boats are powered by a stock carbureted Johnson or Evinrude 2-cylinder outboard fishing motor that are capable of producing approximately 60 Horsepower. Liquid Revolutions Racing travels the US, competing at mostly in-shore, APBA sanction events in the Formula Light, F Light or SST-45 class of outboard tunnel boat racing.
