Lisan® Laboratories is a Costa Rican company with over 38 years experience producing generic pharmaceutical and veterinary products and 24 years of being a pioneer in the development of first order natural products.
Costa Rica is a country rich in biodiversity of great potential in terms of human health, thus Lisan® creates its Lisanatura® division in 1998 and invests its utilities in research, development and innovation (R&D&I) of natural products.
Lisan® Laboratories works with a network of scientific partners that include: INBio (National Institute of Biodiversity), the National University of Costa Rica (UNA), the Pharmaceutical and Medical Faculties of the University of Costa Rica (UCR) as the National Center for Research in Natural products (CIPRONA) of the UCR. Through these strategic alliances our scientific efforts are enhanced and Lisan® Laboratories provides financial support to local institutions in their conservation and research efforts.
Lisan® Laboratories possess a multidisciplinary scientific staff of professionals in fields such as botany, pharmacy, medicine, chemistry and agronomy in order to carry out its R&D&I activities in natural products. Our production plant complies with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the laboratory achieved a Certified Quality System (ISO 9001).
Through our Lisanatura® division we continuously adopt new and innovative challenges, such as the selection and quantification of natural active principles, the study and verification of novel properties and level of security for human and veterinary use.
