Gary “Litefoot” Davis (Cherokee Nation) is an internationally acclaimed Entrepreneur, Film Maker, Thought Leader, Keynote Speaker, Author of "The Medicine of Prayer" and Artist. He is also a nationally recognized indigenous business and community leader. He has been a notable figure in Indian Country for nearly 30 years and earned considerable achievements in music, film and television with eight award winning albums, and award-winning starring roles in such films as, "The Indian in The Cupboard" (Paramount) and television programs such as "House of Cards" (Netflix) and recently provided his voice acting talents for the role of Qamash and several other characters for season 1 & 2 of the animated indigenous children’s series, "Spirit Rangers" on Netflix. As the first Native American rap artist he has performed numerous inspirational concert tours and delivered motivational speeches to nearly every tribal nation in the United States. Mr. Davis, continues to motivate audiences nationwide as a public speaker and has provided hundreds of keynotes and trainings for corporations and tribal nations as well as dozens of lectures at colleges and universities. Mr. Davis helms IndigiStudios, an indigenous film and production company. The company's first project, the award-wining documentary short film, "Strong Hearts: An Indigenous Love Letter To My Sons", was Mr. Davis’s directorial debut. He has twice testified before the U.S. Senate, twice been appointed an ambassador for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Minorities in Energy and Equity in Energy initiatives and was appointed to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Council on Underserved Communities. He received the Sevenstar Award from the Cherokee Nation Historical Society, the National Director Special Recognition Award from the Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency & recognized by Scholastic Books in their publication “Native American Heroes”.
