Livestock Climate Solutions

Main areas of work include (with focus on livestock): -Assessment of national and regional projects for their impact on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and food security -Review and (modelled) testing of adaptation and mitigation options most relevant for a specific country in a specific policy context e.g. Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) -Guidance on incorporation of specific adaptation and mitigation options to national climate documents (e.g. incorporating animal health into NDCs) -Trainings on sustainable livestock production systems in a specific context (e.g. country, production system, product output or project) -Development of tools and methods to better incorporate GHG accounting into organizational operations (e.g. Paris Alignment for finance institutions and development agencies) -Development of monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) systems -Project design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation -Literature review, policy assessment and reporting on tools, methods, MRV systems, mitigation and adaptation options in the context of climate change and climate finance
