Living Connected promotes the wellbeing of older citizens in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Southern Highlands with assistance in acquiring, learning and using computers to remain engaged, active and independent. We offer:
• a personalised integrated and continuing home program for those ageing in place
• free public sessions with help on your phones, tablets and laptops
• classes for residents in aged care
• training for carers and service providers
The Living Connected home service provides seniors with the capability to set up and use a phone, tablet or computer so that they can remain engaged, activity and independent by living connected at home.
For many reasons some seniors may not be able to get out as much as they would like or engage in many of the community activities they used to. They may now live far from friends and family who lead busy lives and rarely have time to visit.
The living connected program helps seniors to engage with people, services and programs in the online environment in a way that suits their needs. It is not a replacement for meeting up in person, indeed it will help maintain contact with existing friends and often lead to new ones.
