L-Mesitran® is the leading brand of wound care products of the Triticum company. The company was founded in July 2000, based upon the research of Dr.Theo Postmes, Phd in Biochemistry. His research at the University Hospital of Maastricht (NL) and publications (e.g. in The Lancet) led to the conclusion that honey is capable of healing wounds fast and efficient.
The company patented these unique products and in 2002 L-Mesitran® was the first CE-marked product based on honey on the European market.The L-Mesitran® products are now available in almost all European countries and several countries outside the EU.
To this day, L-Mesitran® strives to be the pioneer in the wound care market with honey based products. Our aim is to provide high quality Medical Grade Honey based wound care products for fast and efficient wound healing.
