About:
The Latino Medical Student Association Plus (LMSA+) is an on campus student organization that serves as a gateway for Latino, Latina, and Latinx pre-health undergraduate students who are seeking to attend a health-related graduate program. While we value our latin community, we also welcome members from diverse backgrounds since we believe it is vital to see the world from the perspectives of different cultures.
Mission:
Our purpose is to provide pre-health opportunities for our members that will help facilitate their journey to their desired health graduate program. Through our various events, activities, and programs, we cover why it is important to recognize one's purpose as a pre-health student, how to navigate the pre-health track, and what to do in order to overcome its obstacles and challenges. We also aspire to bring awareness to the latin health community by encouraging involvement and advocating for those that are underrepresented.
