The Old School Project Group was established in 2013 by local residents with a view to securing the 140-year-old former Dryfesdale Public School building as a community resource after it was deemed surplus to requirements by the council.
We secured ownership of the building in late 2020 with planning permission being granted on 31st August 2022.
Project costs to redevelop the building and bring our dreams into a reality stand at £4.9 million pounds. We currently have over 25% guaranteed from funders and the remainder has been applied for and are awaiting approval.
We currently have two employed members of staff, our Project Development Manager Jen and Communications Officer Alex.
