Founded in 2012 as a spin-off of the Universität Duisburg-Essen and located in Bonn, Locoslab GmbH is specialized in developing and offering low-cost RF-based localization and tracking products and services. The Locoslab team benefits from years of research experience in the area of RF-based indoor localization gathered at the Universität Bonn and at the Universität Duisburg-Essen.
Built on top of commercial off-the-shelf hardware such as WiFi or active and passive RFID, Locoslab offers accurate and cost-efficient localization systems that can be deployed and calibrated quickly without requiring expert users. Our analysis software allows you, the customer, to optimize existing deployments and to estimate accuracy and other metrics in harsh environments.
Besides from localization services, Locoslab also offers advanced RF-based active and passive tracking solutions that can be used, for example, to monitor the presence of people at a particular location and that allow the analysis of flows of people in buildings such as an airport, a metro station or a trade fair.
