LocumOD is an online service, launching early 2017, that offers a single source of Locum Optometrists across Canada and a list of Practices with vacancies to cover vacation and short-term absence. Practice operation is becoming increasingly competitive and the loss of an OD for a number of weeks every year has a significant effect on revenue. We handle all the communication and contracts which just leaves the Locum to issue an invoice for the hours covered at the end of their term and the practice to remit payment.
