LOEWE Research Cluster ADMIT

Cancer and neurodegenerative diseases are a major social challenge. The World Health Organization predicts a steady increase in these diseases, which threaten to become the most common causes of mortality in industrialized countries. The LOEWE Research Cluster ADMIT therefore aims to combine new imaging and computer-aided procedures with advanced therapeutic strategies in order to enable an early diagnosis and successful treatment of various forms of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. The core idea of ADMIT is that the development of new medical-physical methods can improve image-guided therapy and provide new insights. Primarily in the fields of radiology, oncology and neurology, the synergetic areas of data processing, imaging and therapy are to be integrated and implemented in innovative, scientifically viable approaches.
