Loftus Peak

Loftus Peak is a global equities fund manager focused on disruptive businesses. Founded in 2014, the strategy invests in global companies driving industry change, such as Nvidia, first bought in 2016. As well as Microsoft and Broadcom, the diverse portfolio also includes many less well-understood companies which are expected to be household names in the future, such as AMD and Qualcomm. This global approach aims to reduce concentration risk often associated with home-biased Australian portfolios. Loftus Peak seeks to harvest return from global sharemarkets by focusing on understanding the change the world will go through in the next two to five years and beyond, attributing value to that change, and then discounting it back to derive a valuation in today’s terms. We seek out companies that are driving, or will be the beneficiaries of, the accelerating pace of change across all industries globally. We construct a portfolio from these companies on the basis of strict criteria at carefully determined valuations, in a process that openly acknowledges and accounts for risk.
