Logan Architecture Studio (LAS) is a boutique architectural practice based in Castlemaine's former Masonic Hall in central Victoria. Under the leadership of principal and creative lead Katrina Logan, the studio delivers sustainable, carbon-neutral designs that prioritises client needs over architectural monuments. With Katrina's 25+ years of experience spanning Berlin, London and Melbourne, LAS approaches architecture with the belief that good design supports good health. The practice specialises in climate-resilient design, adaptive reuse, and low-impact living, working closely with clients to translate their values into purposeful architecture. LAS brings a unique mindfulness to the design process, guiding clients through decisions with clarity—a creative process influenced by Katrina's foundation in yoga and meditation. Her sculpture background, and ongoing painting practice, support creative experimentation while hands-on building experience informs practical technical solutions. The practice collaborates extensively with allied professionals to create elegant designs that integrate nature and promote wellbeing. LAS specialises in resilient residential architecture and heritage design, with each project reflecting deep local climate knowledge. Katrina's academic credentials include teaching positions at the University of Melbourne (Design, Construction Design, Professional Practice) and Swinburne University (Sustainable Design). Her work has been recognised with the Victorian Premier's Design Award, and her international experience spans prestigious institutions including architecture practices in Berlin and the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
