LoKator

The biggest indicator of pitching success is pitch location. When location is good, pitchers are good. Strikes and balls don't tell the complete story because there are strikes pitchers never want to throw, like belt high down the middle, and balls they must throw on purpose, as in getting the hitter to chase. The LoKator System includes a patented pitching target that identifies areas in and around the strike zone and the iOS LoKator Bullpen App, which works as a navigation tool for use with the target. The LoKator target and iOS app LoKator Bullpen allow us to create sequential patterns for pitchers to learn, train, and measure improvement. Pitch location statistics and rankings are available in reports generated by the app and can be shared on social media or emailed. Our latest iteration of the LoKator Bullpen app uses iPhone video to record pitches hitting the target and computer vision algorithms automatically measure baseball or softball location, velocity, and trajectory, then stores the data in our cloud database.
