Lokyatha

Lokyatha is an independent research organisation focused on real world 'life skills' education. When we say life skills, we refer to all of the skills one needs to survive in the real world, the areas that academic education does not address. We believe that while formal education hasn't kept up with the modern world, the challenges in shifting such a complex ecosystem remain deeply entrenched and hence are unlikely to adapt effectively. Our work takes an inter-disciplinary & intersectional approach to recognising individual needs and delivering mass education that can supplement mainstream education to give young adults the edge they need to survive and compete in the real world.
