Lone Star is a leading private equity firm that seeks investment opportunities in markets that have suffered an economic and/or banking crisis, resulting in a dislocation in asset pricing and the creation of deep-value opportunities. Highly disciplined and value-driven, Lone Star focuses on liquidity-constrained but otherwise viable assets. When pursuing investment opportunities, Lone Star considers a broad scope of markets, industries, and opportunities through equity and debt investments in value-oriented assets, real estate and real estate-related assets, control investments in financially oriented and other operating companies, and various securitized products. Since the establishment of its first fund in 1995, Lone Star has organized 25 funds with aggregate capital commitments totaling approximately $95 billion. The Lone Star Funds are structured as closed-end, private equity limited partnerships, the limited partners of which include corporate and public pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, foundations, funds of funds, and high-net-worth individuals.
