For over 125 years, the Longshaw Sheep Dog Trials have celebrated the remarkable partnership between shepherd and sheepdog amidst the stunning backdrop of the Peak District. First officially held in 1898, and interrupted only by the two World Wars, Longshaw is proud to be the oldest continuous sheep dog trial in the UK.
Each September, thousands of spectators gather on the Longshaw Pastures to witness world-class working dogs demonstrate their skill, instinct, and training in a true test of rural excellence.
