Lost Dot is dedicated to ensuring a sustainable future for their races, and developing the future of unsupported bicycle racing. Lost Dot is a non-profit, socially driven company with our core values of integrity, equality and inclusivity at the heart of what we do. Our directors and all of our contributors receive a wage and we use any profits to further achieve our ultimate objectives, rather than distributing to shareholders or directors.
Lost Dot was created after the tragic death of Transcontinental Race founder, our dear friend Mike Hall, who was killed while cycling in Australia in early 2017. ‘Dot’ refers to the GPS tracking signal of a rider on the race map, this dot is how riders and their friends, family and followers are able to spectate their progress on the race. ‘Lost’ refers to the ultimate goal of most adventurers which is, to some extent, physically “get lost” out in the world and simultaneously get “unlost” by finding ourselves through adventure. For what are we doing in this world if not finding our true selves?
