My name is Camille Johnson. My husband Marcus and I have been living with our family in the north suburbs of Chicago since 2009 and started Lotus Home Improvement after recognizing there were some things missing from the remodeling industry. I worked in the building supply industry and had a passion for renovation and interior design. Marcus and I wanted to have our own business. Selling building supplies to contractors, I saw the industry as a whole was not marketed like so many other industries are. Marcus, a licensed Chiropractor spent about decade managing clinics and working with patients and staff in the Northshore. Although he had a love working with people and problem solving, he wanted to spread his wings on his own. When I would tell him about the construction industry and the problems homeowners were facing such as lack of accountability, timeliness, setting job site expectations, installers taking on projects they weren't equipped to, and the list went on we got to work setting up a plan on how to tackle these issues one by one. Marcus started apprenticing to learn the industry. We then took the leap in October of 2017 and started Lotus Home Improvement. We are licensed, insured, and specialize in interior home remodeling projects, specifically kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and flooring. We are a product dealer offering four cabinet lines as well as vinyl/laminate flooring. Marcus manages the crews and homeowners every step of the way. We are highly referred, reviewed, and sought after. We have worked so very hard and continue to earn trust with each project. Lack of diversity amongst ownership in our industry is something we are very proud to be changing.
