Free Text-to-Speech Voices:- Our world-wide team of visually-impaired, TTS specialists build text-to-speech languages and voices. These are distributed free to users who need them to operate their computers and smart-phones. -- Funding: - We obtain sponsorship to cover the cost of developing, distributing and maintaining voices. If your organization wishes to support a new voice for an under-served community, please contact us. -- The Need:- The large, commercial operating systems provide built-in voices, but these are often not nimble enough for the blind user’s particular needs. Better voices are often available elsewhere, for purchase, but at prices beyond the budgets of many blind people. And, for many languages there may be no viable voice at all.
