About Loughran Brewing Stores

Six generations of the Loughran family have farmed Clermont Farm allowing us to produce high quality, consistent malts, fully traceable right back to the exact field they came from. Our unique location; a sheltered peninsula, with rich, fertile, volcanic soils, on the east coast of an island located in the North Atlantic Ocean, gives us the perfect malt growing climate; long cool days, with a growing season stretching from March to September. This provides our barley plants with a stress free growth cycle giving lots of time to produce large plump grains packed full of flavour, allowing a higher extract potential while maintaining a low protein level.
