Integrative Psychiatry was established in 2001 as a private outpatient practice, dedicated to providing a holistic and integrated treatment program for each individual. It has been a leader in providing cutting-edge psychiatric therapies such as advanced psychopharmacology, pharmacogenetic testing, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Program
Since 2010, Integrative Psychiatry has been the region’s premier center for patient care, research, and training in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Hundreds of our patients have achieved remission from their treatment-resistant depression with TMS. Transcranial magnetic stimulation is a non-invasive, FDA cleared treatment for depressed patients who have not received adequate benefit from antidepressants. TMS uses highly focused, pulsed magnetic stimulation to restore normal brain function. TMS is well-tolerated, with few adverse effects. In particular, there are no systemic side effects that are common with antidepressant medications. Patients remain fully awake during the treatment sessions, and are able to resume their daily activities immediately.
