Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, established in 1963, is a JK-8th grade parochial school in the Diocese of Richmond. Our mission is to challenge our students to learn, help, and care for others with a Christ-like spirit of respect, compassion, and service rooted in Catholic teaching. Accredited by Middle States Assn, all faculty members have Virginia state certification, most have fifteen plus years of experience, and several faculty members hold a Master's Degree. In 2011, we received the “Blue Ribbon School” designation from the U.S. Department of Education, which honors the country’s most successful schools. Lourdes is a vibrant community who provides equity and accessibility to all who desire an outstanding education that meets the needs of the whole child. Parents report trusting Lourdes with their child’s education because of consistent religious instruction, teachers that are strong role models, a high-quality education, and a community that feels like family. After eighth grade graduation, all of our students move on to graduate from high school and thrive in life. Our students consistently outperform on national tests and are more than prepared to continue to be successful in their educational career. Lourdes saves taxpayers in the Richmond area over $3.8 million each year that can then be reinvested into the public school system. We believe in diversity of all types and in supporting each other.
