Love for Lane County exists to identify and support unmet needs within our community, providing members of local churches an opportunity to serve.
It all starts with a phone call. Every month our Clearinghouse call center receives over 500 calls from our neighbors in need. These calls are an opportunity for us to listen to the story behind the need, and to provide services and supports appropriate to each caller's unique situation. Last year we provided assistance to over 1,000 adults and 600 children.
Our goal is to never duplicate programs or supports which other agencies offer. Instead, by working hand-in-hand with more than 100 local agencies, we provide "wrap-around" support for our clients. In partnership with the Eugene Mission, Every Child Lane County, Senior & Disability Services, and many others, we dramatically increase our impact.
Our focus is to offer short-term practical, hands-on assistance for community members who have nowhere else to turn. To meet the needs of our neighbors, we provide "gap services" through building relationships with our clients and walking alongside them, partnering in their success, and encouraging life changes that interrupt the cycles of poverty.
