Our Beliefs Employee wellbeing is measurable and is a key driver for retention, engagement and attracting talent. Wellbeing is not fluffy, it makes sound business and financial sense. Wellbeing culture does not mean “soft”. Work can still be fast paced, demanding, goal driven, it just must be managed correctly with people as the focus. Toxic behaviour is a trump card. If toxic behaviour and practices exist within an organisation, no amount of wellness programs, perks or benefits will impact retention. Where toxic behaviour is minimised or eliminated, wellness programs, perks and benefits make an impact. Key Ingredients: Openness of communication, Honesty, Respect, Empathy, Flexibility, Lack of toxic behaviour Pension and benefits have a key role to play in employee wellbeing. They are not a solution in themselves, but given that most businesses already pay for them, they should make sure that they contribute PROACTIVELY to the wellbeing of their employees. Organisations must take a systematic approach to wellbeing. It should be board driven and embedded in the fabric of the business. There must be a plan, i.e. a wellbeing strategy. Businesses do so many things well, they simply lack the structure to bring it all together and the consistency to deliver.
