Rockland, Maine based Lowe Hardware was established in 1977 by boatbuilder Bill Lowe. Building on his expertise and repair experience, Lowe began specializing in the design and manufacturing of custom marine hardware for local shipyards. The shop quickly established a reputation as industry leader serving clients like The Hinckley Company and Brooklin Boat Yard. Now lead by Bill’s son Elliot, Lowe has expanded into production of highly customizable architectural hardware. Today the company works with the world’s leading architects, interior designers and furniture designers, to develop made-to-order fixtures for a combination of residential, marine, hospitality and other commercial projects. Based out of an 11,500 sq.ft. facility, Lowe’s highly skipped group of artisans and designers take great pride in pursuing their craft of producing timeless, durable hardware that uses both modern and traditional manufacturing techniques.
