Loyalsock Foundation seeks to build a multi-generational, regional wellness and cultural community center in rural Sullivan County, PA with facilities for health, fitness, education, and outdoor recreation, including a natural rock ledge amphitheater and other indoor and outdoor multi-purpose venues. The overall design of the site will incorporate the lumbering heritage of Sullivan County, which has played a key role in the county for over a century.
Loyalsock Foundation has volunteers from across the county working to write grants, recruit support from government and business organizations, solicit donations, survey residents, and research health needs. To date, approximately 70 acres of land have been purchased/leased to create The Summit: Center for Wellness campus. In 2022, architectural concept plans were designed and a thorough market and operational analysis was completed. Loyalsock Foundation has secured funding for the engineering design and development of a .516 mile gravel access road/driveway. The next step in the trek will be to fund the construction of this driveway, with a cost estimate of approximately $1 million+. Driveway construction is critical to furthering the mission of building a wellness facility and providing public access.
