The Laboratory of Theoretical Physics and Statistical Models (LPTMS) is a CNRS - Université Paris-Saclay Joint Research Unit (UMR 8626). This laboratory (created in 1998) is home to some fifty researchers. It focuses on statistical physics, both in terms of its applications to the core of physics, in particular condensed matter and quantum fluid physics, and in terms of its applications to other disciplines, notably biology and computer science.
