For 125 years the LSE has been a hub of intellectual rigour and debate. It continues to strive to honour its founding principle laid out by Beatrice Webb in 1895, namely, to promote “the betterment of society”. The LSE Oratory Union is a continuation of this tradition, acting as a platform for members from across the LSE, and in indeed the world to grapple with the issues of the day in order to help shape the future of society.
