With 99 member organizations, which are divided into 3 sports federations, 84 professional associations and 12 associations with special tasks as well as associations for science and education, the Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association represents the common interests of sport vis-à-vis state politics and sets the pace for the development of the sports state of Baden-Württemberg. Over 4.18 million memberships and 11,268 clubs make the Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association the largest association of individuals in the state. This means that every third person in Baden-Württemberg is a member of a sports club.
