Luminary is a person who inspires or influences others; a body that gives light. We named our store Luminary in honor of our Grandmother, Iluminada or "Lola Luming”, who has truly been an inspiration to all those around her and has been our family's stronghold with love as its foundation for past, present and future generations. Our store, likewise, is here to bring light to the world and inspire our community to lead an environmentally conscious life. Luminary is a start-up and family-operated business. We are an enterprise committed to promoting zero waste lifestyle by providing our customers with broad selection of sustainable and high-quality products. Our shop is focused on engaging luminaries in creating a safer, cleaner and warmer environment that actively practices reusing and recycling and minimizing the use of single-use plastic packaging while getting a fun and exceptional customer experience. We believe that everything starts at home. If we want to make a difference, we have to start within our family. That’s why aside from the fact that we love doing things together, we have ventured on this zero-waste journey/business together as a family. In the exact same space where Lola Luming’s dressmaking and retail shop once stood, we are proud to establish Luminary – your one-stop, “weigh-and-pay” shop for pantry, home care, and hygiene needs without wasteful packaging. By making it accessible to the community, we aim to encourage more people to do their part in taking care of our habitat. We desire to inspire every household to live and promote a more sustainable lifestyle and be responsible consumers. What a wonderful sight that would be!
