The mission of the Lunar Lion Team is to land a spacecraft on the moon while teaching students the multitude of skills. Through this, Penn State will create a foundation for space exploration and help further the private space industry. The launch and execution of Penn State’s spacecraft, The Lunar Lion, will be the culmination of a multi-year, interdisciplinary effort to complete the mission.
