Luna’s Fund ‘Love & Unity for Neonates And Stillborns,' has been created from lived experience of CEO Aimee Conroy after the loss of her daughter, Luna in 2017. The charity’s aim is to offer an array of practical services and emotional support for parents to access immediately upon the loss of their baby. The services have been constructed based on personal experience to help soften the pain for future families. Examples of our services: • Redecoration of the baby’s nursery for parents who choose that this room is too painful and is the most suitable option for them. • A relaxing getaway to a log cabin or hotel to help both the mind recovering from trauma and the body recovering from labour. • Food shopping deliveries to help reduce the lack of appetite and to avoid social environments. • Pregnancy after loss support with access to three free private antenatal scans which are additional to NHS scans to provide reassurance when needed. The long term goal for Luna’s Fund’s is to open a safe haven retreat for parent to grieve in peace and for families to create new memories within ‘Luna’s Lodge.’ Our services are crucial to grieving parents in the local area and within the next 18 months we are expanding our baby loss services to Torbay Hospital and the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital to reach even more parents who need us.
