A LusoPêra, constituída por 14 produtores de 5 famílias da zona Oeste de Portugal, conta com cerca de 350 hectares de produção de pera rocha e durante a época da colheita emprega até 100 pessoas na central e entre 800 a 1000 pessoas nos pomares durante o período de colheita, criando riqueza na região.
