The Leeds Women in Leadership society is an entirely student-led initiative that exists to empower students to reach their full potential irrespective of gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or any other factor. We strive to raise awareness of the benefits of inclusive workplace environments and empower our members to be successful future leaders.
The society’s efforts and commitment to inclusivity and diversity was recognised with the Best UK's Women's Society Award presented by the Bright Network in 2022, the NUS Award for Best Campaigning Society in the U.K, the LUU Riley Award for Best New Society and placing in the Top 4 in the Milkround Outstanding Society Competition.
Since launching in March 2017, the society has grown to 1400+ members from a wide range of degree disciplines.
