Lyma Farms and Foods is an Agro Social Business with a model poised to confront food and nutrition insecurity and biodiversity loss. We endeavour to work with small holder farmers and vulnerable communities, primarily women and youth – on farming of indigenous crops and plants in a manner that guarantees healthy soils, healthy plants for a healthy people and planet. By optimising the underutilized agency and potential of rural women and youth the end result is to make gainful economic returns a reality in their farming ventures. As a social business, all our activities are aimed at impacting the 3Ps – People, Profit and Planet in order to attain sustainable development. Our business model stimulates the local economy in collaboration with other organisations and agencies both locally and internationally.
