About Lynnea
When life changes suddenly, there is often no clear path forward. A fall, a hospital discharge or a diagnosis can arrive without warning. Families are left to make urgent decisions, navigate unfamiliar systems and carry the emotional weight of uncertainty – all at once. The project began when Dr Johari Amar and the late Dr Lynne Armitage were invited into a study exploring the use of LiDAR for OT remote assessment. With backgrounds in housing and a shared commitment to social impact, they saw an opportunity to build something that could make real-life moments of crisis easier to navigate. After completing the CSIRO ON Prime 16 program, Johari and Lynne continued the work shaped by around 100 conversations with leaders across the aged care and disability sectors. What they heard, again and again, was that the support system is often the hardest to navigate when people need it most. As Lynne became unwell, she offered a quiet but clear insight into where to begin. That moment shaped what came next. We are developing Lynnea - an AI-powered platform, built as a Common Data Environment, to bring together healthcare, housing and in-home support. It is designed to reduce delays, duplication and distress. Most importantly, it is being co-designed with the people it is meant to serve. It is not being built for them but with them. With the support of Lynne’s husband, Pete, the project was named in her honour. It carries her values: clarity, dignity and care when needed most. Lynnea exists to connect what is currently fragmented, so no Australian, regardless of location or mobility, is left to suffer in silence during their most vulnerable moments. We seek partners who share this commitment to create a system that listens early and acts quickly. ©2025 Lynnea, all rights reserved, E&OE, commercially confidential.
